-22nd Sunday after Pentecost-

2 Thessalonians 1:4-5

“This is why we brag about you to all of God's churches. We tell them how patient you are and how you keep on having faith, even though you are going through a lot of trouble and suffering. All this shows that God judges fairly and is making you fit to share in his kingdom for which you are suffering.”

At school, with friends, at home, and even at church, sometimes we feel everything is a burden and hard to handle. But through his letter to the Thessalonians, Paul tells us this message: “God sees every struggle you face and God is thankful for your faith that does not give up.”

We pray that our youth will remember God’s heart. God knows what we are going through, our efforts to stay patient and faithful even in small things. And God is helping them each step of their way. This Sunday, let us come together and strengthen our faith. And wherever we may be, let us become people who stand firm in love and trust, not swayed by rumors or temptations. Let us lift one another and help each other endure.

This Sunday, Teacher Eric will deliver the massage for youth service. I hope and pray that the message from Thessalonians takes root deeply in our youth’s hearts and helps them grow a faith that endures.

‼️ Announcement

1) Gratitude Challenge - from Oct. 20-Nov. 19. Please participate in this month for expressing their gratitude to form a spiritual habit.

 

2) Youth outing tomorrow after lunch - Westfield Mall Bowlero Arcade from 1-3PM-ish. We'll have fun playing arcade games and having a special treat.

3) Friendsgiving - Nov. 21, Friday, 7 PM. Please come and join the celebration. Please invite your friends. We are preparing something very fun!

4) Please register for the Ski Retreat. (Your parents have Google Forms shared via group chat)

5) Xmas Presentation Prep begins 3rd Sunday of Nov. We need everyone to participate.  

 

 

-성령강림후 스물 둘째 주일-

데살로니가 후서 1:4-5

“그러므로 우리는 온갖 박해와 환난 가운데서도 여러분이 간직한 그 인내와 믿음을 두고서 하나님의 여러 교회에서 여러분을 자랑하고 있습니다. 이 일은 하나님의 공의로운 심판의 표이니, 하나님께서 여러분을 하나님 나라에 합당한 사람이 되게 하시려고 주신 것입니다. 여러분은 참으로 그 나라를 위하여 고난을 당하고 있습니다.”

학교에서, 친구들과의 관계에서, 또 가족과 교회생활…때로는 모든 것이 힘들게 느껴질 때가 있습니다. 하지만 바울은 데살로니가서를 통해 이렇게 격려해주고 있습니다. “하나님은 너희의 모든 어려움을 보고 계시고, 너희가 포기하지 않는 믿음을 고마워 하신다.” 라고 말입니다.

작은 일에도 끝까지 인내하려는 우리의 마음을 하나님께서 알고 계시고 도와 주시고 계심을 믿기를 소망합니다. 이번 주일예배, 함께 모여, 그리고 각자가 있는 자리에서 믿음을 지킬수 있으면 좋겠습니다. 세상의 소문이나 유혹에 흔들리지 않고 사랑과 신뢰로 서로의 힘이 되어주고 견딜수 있는 버팀목이 되어 줄수 있기를 기도합니다.

이번주일은 김경석 권사님께서 유스 설교를 전해 주십니다. 데살로니가서로 견디는 믿음에 대한 말씀이 우리 유스들 마음에 심겨지기를 간절히 기도드립니다.

1)  한달동안 감사찰런지를 하고 있습니다. 추수감사절까지 우리 친구들이 감사의 마음을 표현할수 있도록 도와 주시면 감사하겠습니다.

2) 내일 예배와 점심후 아우팅이 있습니다. Westfield Mall Bowlero Arcade. 재밌는 게임도 하고 아이스크림도 먹는 교제의 시간을 가지도록 하겠습니다. 예상 시간은 오후 1-3ish

3) Friendsgiving이 11월 21일 금요일 오후 7시에 있습니다. 친구들 초대할수 있는 좋은 기회입니다. 작년처럼 재미있는 이벤트를 준비하고 있으니 모두 참석할수 있도록 격려해주시면 감사하겠습니다. 

4) 유스부 프로필 업데이트와 겨울 수련회 등록을 해주시면 감사하겠습니다.

5) 11월셋째주일부터성탄절프리젠테이션을준비하려고합니다. 유스들모두참여할수있도록격려해주시면감사하겠습니다.
