-19th Sunday after Pentecost-

Colossians 3:12-15 (CEB)

"Therefore, as God’s choice, holy and loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with each other and, if someone has a complaint against anyone, forgive each other. As the Lord forgave you, so also forgive each other. And over all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. The peace of Christ must control your hearts—a peace into which you were called in one body. And be thankful people."

When conflict arises in a relationship, it’s easy to react with frustration or pride. But Paul reminds us that we are God’s chosen people. We are loved, forgiven, and called to reflect Christ’s heart. We overcome division not by winning arguments, but by “putting on” compassion, humility, and forgiveness. Love becomes the thread that binds us together, and Christ’s peace steadies our hearts. In every tension, His love gives us the strength to choose grace over resentment and unity over division.

Join us this Sunday as we explore how Christ’s love can transform our conflicts into opportunities for growth, healing, and deeper relationship.

‼️ Announcement

1. Friday Gathering continues this Friday. This week - Sports Day at San Jose High. We’ll gather at church by 7 PM and will return to church by 9:30PM

2. CM’s Fall Festival - Oct. 31, 6 PM. Our youth will volunteer for help around the festival. Also, for the enjoyment of our youth, we are having a costume contest. Please encourage your youth to participate.

3. Gratitude Challenge - from Oct. 20-Nov. 19. Please help youth participate in this month for expressing their gratitude to form a spiritual habit. A guide booklet will be distributed tomorrow.

-성령강림후 열아홉째 주일-

골로새서 3:12-15

'그러므로 여러분은 하나님의 택하심을 입은 사랑 받는 거룩한 사람답게, 동정심과 친절함과 겸손함과 온유함과 오래 참음을 옷 입듯이 입으십시오. 누가 누구에게 불평할 일이 있더라도, 서로 용납하여 주고, 서로 용서하여 주십시오. 주님께서 여러분을 용서하신 것과 같이, 여러분도 서로 용서하십시오. 이 모든 것 위에 사랑을 더하십시오. 사랑은 완전하게 묶는 띠입니다. 그리스도 의 평화가 여러분의 마음을 지배하게 하십시오. 이 평화를 누리도록 여러분은 부르심을 받아 한 몸이 되었습니다. 또 여러분은 감사하는 사람이 되십시오.'

관계 가운데서 갈등이 일어날 때, 우리는 쉽게 좌절하거나 자존심으로 반응하기 쉽습니다. 그러나 바울은 우리에게 우리가 하나님의 택하신 백성임을 기억하게 해 줍니다. 우리는 사랑받았고, 용서받았으며, 그리스도의 마음을 비추도록 부름받았습니다. 우리는 논쟁을 이겨서가 아니라, 긍휼과 겸손, 용서를 “입음”으로써 갈등을 이겨낼수 있습니다. 사랑은 우리를 하나로 묶는 띠가 되고, 그리스도의 평화는 우리의 마음을 든든히 세워 줍니다. 모든 긴장 속에서도, 그분의 사랑은 우리가 원망보다 은혜를, 분열보다 연합을 선택할 수 있는 힘을 줍니다.

이번 주일, 그리스도의 사랑이 우리의 갈등을 성장과 치유, 그리고 더 깊은 관계로 나아가는 기회로 바꾸시는 방법을 함께 나누어 봅시다.

2. 10월 31일 CM 주관 Fall Festival 이 있습니다. 유스부는 게임 부스를 돕습니다. 유스들의 즐거움을 위해서 Costume Contest도 진행하려고 합니다. 참여하는 친구들에게 맛있는 선물이 있습니다. 참여할수 있도록 격려해주세요.

3. 오는월요일부터감사찰런지를실시합니다. 내일나누어줄감사찰런지북크렛에말씀읽고감사의고백을하루씩적는훈련입니다. 추수감사절까지우리친구들이감사의마음을표현할수있도록도와주시면감사하겠습니다.
