-성령강림후 열셋째 주일-

“성령이 여러분을 평화의 띠로 묶어서, 하나가 되게 해 주신 것을 힘써 지키십시오. 그리스도 의 몸도 하나요, 성령도 하나입니다. 이와 같이 여러분도 부르심을 받았을 때에 그 부르심의 목표인 소망도 하나였습니다. 주님도 한 분이시요, 믿음도 하나요, 세례도 하나요, 하나님도 한 분이십니다. 하나님은 모든 것의 아버지시요, 모든 것 위에 계시고 모든 것을 통하여 계시고 모든 것 안에 계시는 분이십니다.” - 에베소서 4:3-6

모든 세대가 하나가 되는 것, 이번 주빌리 워십의 주제가 아닐까 생각됩니다. 한국어와 너무 다른 영어, 그 언어의 차이에서 오는 문화적 이질감과 생각의 다름들, 그리고 세대간에 좁혀질 것 같지 않는 간격도 있습니다. 

지난 우리 교회 50년동안 많은 사역과 사역자들의 변화로 때로는 성장했고, 때로는 후퇴하는 것 같기도 했고, 때로는 멈춰 세우셨을 때도 있었을 것 같습니다. 하지만 그 모든 여정을 통해 하나님은 우리 교회의 비전을 세워 가고 계셨음을 믿습니다. 우리가 예배를 멈추지 않을때, 사랑하는 것을 멈추지 않을때, 기도를 멈추지 않을때 기회가 있고, 변화가 생겨남을 믿습니다.

50년을 신실히 걸어 왔으니 앞으로의 50년도 신실함으로 함께 동행하면 좋겠습니다. 서로의 다름과 필요를 인정하고 용납하며 다음 세대가 믿음의 세대로 일어나도록 마음을 하나로 모았으면 좋겠습니다. 분명 하나님은 우리를 향한 선한 꿈과 계획을 가지고 계시고 이루시기를 원하십니다. 함께 에배로 이루어 가길 기도합니다. 

내일은 한어부, 영어부, 유스부 연합으로 주빌리 워십을 드립니다. 예배후 잔디밭에 간단한 친교를 준비하려고 합니다. 모든 교우들이 함께 기쁨의 교제를 나누었으면 좋겠습니다.

1. Jubilee Worship이 다음 달 10월 첫 주에 한번 더 있습니다. 모든 가족들 - 영어부, 유스부 가족들과 함께 새롭게 꿈구는 예배에 많은 참여와 기도 부탁드립니다.

2. 유스부 금요모임이 매주 금요일 오후 7시에 있습니다.

3. 오는 토요일 오후 고등부 11-12학년 모임이 오후 2시에 있고, 그들과 함께 주일 친교 봉사를 준비합니다. (*고등부 9-10학년 모임은 따로 가질 예정입니다.)

-13th Sunday after Pentecost-

I believe the theme of this Jubilee Worship is Unity across all generation. Between Korean and English, there are differences in language that also bring cultural distance and differences in thought. Between generations, there also seem to be gaps that feel hard to bridge. 

Over the past 50 years of our church, with many ministries opportunities and change of ministers, there were seasons of growth, seasons when it felt like we were moving backward, and even seasons when God made us pause. Yet through it all, I believe God has been faithfully shaping the vision of our church. When we do not stop worshiping, when we do not stop loving, and when we do not stop praying, God opens opportunities and brings about change.

Having walked faithfully for the past 50 years, let us continue walking faithfully together for the next 50. May we acknowledge and accept each other’s differences and needs, uniting our hearts so that the next generation may rise as a generation of faith. Surely God has wonderful dreams and plans for us, and He desires to fulfill them. Let us continue to seek them together in worship.

Tomorrow, we will gather for Jubilee Worship as a joint service with the Korean, English, and Youth ministries. After worship, we will share a time of fellowship on the lawn. We hope all of us could join in this joyful time of fellowship too.

1. Jubilee Worship will be held again on October 5th at 11:30 AMin the main sanctuary. Let us dream together for a worship where all generation can come.

2. Youth Friday gathering on Fridays at 7PM

3. 11th & 12th gathering this Saturday at 2 PM. They will prepare Sunday lunch preparation after the meeting.
