-성령강림후 열둘째 주일-

예수님의 족보에 기록된 이야기들을 잠시 멈추어 깊이 묵상해 본다면, 우리는 아주 중요한 사실을 깨닫게 됩니다. 예수님의 가문은 결코 흠 없는 완전한 가문이 아니었습니다. 복잡하고, 어지럽고, 깨어진 모습들로 가득했습니다. 외부인도 있었고, 수치와 스캔들도 있었습니다. 그러나 그 모든 가운데 하나님은 구원의 이야기를 짜고 계셨습니다. 인간의 실패보다 더 깊이 흐르는 하나님의 은혜를 보여 주셨습니다. 그리고 우리의 삶 속 가장 어두운 자리까지 내려오셔서 구속하실 구세주를 예비하고 계셨던 것입니다.

이것이 바로 복음의 기쁜 소식입니다. 하나님은 완벽한 가정을 기다리시는 분이 아닙니다. 오히려 깨어진 가정을 통해서도 하나님의 완전한 계획을 이루어 가십니다.

그렇습니다. 때로는 가족으로 부르신 교회 공동체 안에서도 많은 깨어짐이 발생하기도 합니다. 그럼에도 우리의 구주 되시는 예수님을 중심에 둔다면 우리에겐 소망이 있습니다. 우리 세대를 위한 하나님의 선하신 계획을 보여주시고 이끌어 주실것입니다. 함께 예배드림으로 하나님 가족의 모습을 이루어 가기를 기도합니다.

-12th Sunday after Pentecost-

If you pause and take all this in, the stories weaved in Jesus’ genealogy, you start to realize something profound: the family line of Jesus was never about spotless perfection. It was messy. It was complicated. It was filled with brokenness, outsiders, and scandal. Yet in all of it, God was weaving His story of redemption. He was showing us that His grace runs deeper than human failure. He was preparing the way for the Savior who would step into the mess of our lives and redeem it.

That’s the good news: God doesn’t wait for perfect families. He works through broken ones to bring about His perfect plan. 

That’s right. At times, even within our church community, who are called to become a family of God, there can be deep brokenness. Yet if we keep our Savior Jesus at the center, we still have hope. He will reveal and lead us into His good plan for our generation. My prayer is that, as we worship together, we may embody the true family of God.

1. Jubilee Worship will be held onSeptember 7 at 11:30 AMin the main sanctuary. We invite all families—English Ministry and Youth Ministry families—to join us for this special new worship service. Please pray for and participate in this meaningful time together.

2. The Youth Friday gatherings will begin on Friday, September 5th.
